If you’re anything like me, the coming of 2013 means one thing…only a handful of days left to win my Goodreads Reading Challenge! I’ve adjusted mine throughout the year. It started as 100, and then bounced down to 75 when six months had passed without fifty books read. Then, in a panic, I changed it to 70 a few weeks ago, but now it’s back to 75. I’m in the home stretch. I can do this, and you can too!
If you’re also looking for some quick, fun reads to help you make your goal, here are some places I turn to.
1. Short Story Collections
These will all go pretty fast; none of them are terribly long, and the bite-size nature of the stories makes them feel even shorter.
2. Middle Grade Reads
Whenever I’m in the mood for something short, sweet, and satisfying, I turn to middle grade books. Here are some of my favorites.
3. Graphic Novels
There’s also nothing like a graphic novel when it comes to quick reads, and there’s something out there for everyone!
Go out there, and get reading!
Aha! Graphic novels – sneaky! I have also snuck one in to my 2013 reading challenge. LOVE Smekday…I stumbled across it one day and had to buy it. Great read for sure – you are the first person I have come across who has read it 🙂
It’s it great? It’s kind of what I always want from that type of book, and more people need to read it!
So.. is it odd that I would totally read the Sailor moon one, but can’t bring myself to even look at Zombies VS Unicorns? lol
Hey, everybody has their thing! Obviously I’d go for both 😛
