Days of Blood and Starlight Giveaway

I promised that when my Facebook page got its first 50 likes, I’d have a giveaway to celebrate. It just so happened that this lined up with me getting to see Laini Taylor on her tour for Days of Blood and Starlight, the sequel to Daughter of Smoke and Bone…so I picked up a few things for the giveaway.

Enter below to win:

1 signed copy of Days of Blood and Starlight
1 signed copy of Daughter of Smoke and Bone
1 themed tote bag

Snazzy, huh?

Enter the giveaway!

Entrants must be US residents, or able to have something shipped to a US address. I hope to have contests for international visitors at some point in the future, but for my first contest, I’m not able to afford the international shipping.

Thanks for the amazing giveaway! 🙂

  2. Ari says:

Sorry, seen too late that it was US only.
    Remove me from the giveaway.

    • Lucy says:

Sorry about that! I’ll make the disclaimer a bit more obvious, so people won’t be disappointed. I hope to have an international contest at some point in the future, so check back later!

  3. Ah you got to meet her! Lucky you! What is she like? And fantastic themed giveaway. 🙂

    • Lucy says:

She’s local to my area (Portland, OR) so I’ve gotten to meet her a few times…she’s really friendly and a sweet mix of shy and outgoing that makes her really approachable.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to have more giveaways in the future; it turns out they’re a ton of fun!

  4. Oh that’s awesome! She has talked about being shy on her blog, but she just seems like a sweet person. And yes giveaways are a lot of fun. I’ll be doing a giveaway for a copy of the collector’s edition of Insurgent this week. So if you’d like to win a copy stop by. 🙂 Also any tips you might want to suggest for newbie book bloggers?

    • Lucy says:

I will definitely check out your contest! I loved both Divergent and Insurgent; such a good series so far!

My only advice would be…don’t panic if you don’t get lots of followers right away. This blog is pretty small, and I didn’t put much effort into it when I was managing another blog for a job, so it’s really just the last few months that I’ve seen any growth to it. Just focus on consistent schedules, and a diverse web presence (facebook, twitter, etc.). And don’t forget to have fun!

  5. It is a great series love it! Do you have any other series that you would highly recommend?
Well that seems reasonable. I don’t really expect a lot of people. I figured in due time numbers will grow that is typically how it works. 🙂 I’ll keep checking back on your blog to see all the new fun posts. I just began reading Days of Blood and Starlight and HOLY CRAP! 😀

    • Lucy says:

I really recommend Eon and Eona by Alison Goodman, and Cold Magic and Cold Fire (with the third book, Cold Steel, coming out sometime next year) by Kate Elliott. Those are two of my favorite series right now. I also really enjoyed The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson.

I just started Days of Blood and Starlight and I AGREE! I’m already hooked.

  6. I’ll have to keep those in mind, I have looked at The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson mainly because I saw The Crown of Embers (i think is the title) and I wondered if it was any good.
Soooo soo good. I want to put aside everything else and just burn through Days of Blood and Starlight. Ah well school first 😛

    • Lucy says:

Yeah, I can’t wait to get my hands on The Crown and Embers. I love the covers of both, also.

Loved Days of Blood and Starlight! I can’t believe we have to wait a whole year for the sequel!

  7. I know! So good!!!!! A year is to far away to know what happens with Karou.
